Advice for Entrepreneurs
"You're not alone and if it was easy, everyone would do it. Owning a business is combination of 100m dashes and ultra-marathons. If you can only sprint you'll end up winded and out of cash, if you pace yourself for the long haul, slow and steady... you'll get dusted by your competitors. The most important lesson I've learnt is that if you hire the right people, your job will be much easier, hire the wrong ones and life can become very painful. The right people for me have been those contributors who compliment my insanity by bringing structure and process to the business."
ABOUT ERIK
Erik founded MAGNUS Personnel Corporation in 2011 and with 5 years had grown the business to multi-national talent acquisition firm serving clients such Amazon, Deloitte, J&J and 150 others. In 2017 he founded Workwolf, raising close to $2M of VC and investor capital to release a fully commercialized version of the platform in December of 2020.
ABOUT WORKWOLF
Workwolf is a Toronto based Start-Up. The platform is designed to reduce the occurrence of resume-fraud which costs the North American market $600B/yr. The tech addresses the "root problem" of all hiring efficiencies by verifying self-proclaimed, inaccurate resume data at the beginning of the hiring cycle for enterprise customers. "Resume 3.0", now digital, source-verified and, tamper-proof can securely viewed and authenticated by employers or recruiters in real-time, then repurposed and/or refreshed by the user for their entire career.
